Residential Treatment
Residential treatment provides a highly structured and supportive environment for individuals seeking recovery from addiction. The benefits of residential treatment are significant. Attending a residential facility removes individuals from their everyday environments and triggers, allowing them to focus solely on their recovery without distractions. This separation from negative influences and temptations greatly increases the chances of successful recovery. The community aspect of residential treatment plays a vital role in the recovery process. Individuals have the opportunity to connect with peers who are going through similar challenges, fostering a sense of camaraderie and support. This shared experience can be incredibly empowering and provide a sense of belonging, reducing feelings of isolation and shame often associated with addiction.
What Is Addiction
Addiction involves persistent and compulsive behavior despite adverse outcomes. Individuals often prioritize their addictive behavior over other responsibilities and interests.
Both behavioral and physical factors contribute to addiction, altering brain chemistry and making it challenging to quit without external assistance. Given its persistent nature, independent recovery is rare.
Some ways in which addiction negatively impacts individuals lives:
1. Loss of control
2. Social problems stemming from addictive behavior
3. Issues with employment
4. Issues with overall health and wellness
5. Financial problems
Chemical Dependence
Chemical dependency often equates to substance use, involving a pattern of drug abuse that leads to a physical addiction. The impact of drug abuse on the brain makes chemical dependence difficult to overcome. For many users, the primary motivation for substance use is the euphoria it induces.
detox
Detox marks the initial phase in the journey to overcome addiction. At Seaquell house, our team of clinical and medical professionals collaborates with you to alleviate withdrawal symptoms. We utilize a combination of over-the-counter and prescription medications alongside various therapies to provide essential support and stability as we address chemical dependence.
Outpatient Programs
Outpatient programs provide ongoing access to recovery support while granting more flexibility for your life. During outpatient services the focus is on integrating back into daily life while developing effective coping mechanisms for a drug- and alcohol-free lifestyle.
Behavioral Addictions
Behavioral addiction, also known as process addiction, involves a dependence on certain enjoyable behaviors that, when overindulged, can induce a high-like sensation akin to substance abuse. This cycle of abuse can be emotionally, mentally, and physically harmful.
Residential Treatment
After completing detox successfully, the next step is residential treatment. Our Residential Program is a focused approach to care. This involves a blend of group and individual counseling sessions, engaging in healthy activities, and holistic treatments like acupuncture and massage. Throughout this phase, you'll learn coping strategies that target the root causes of addiction, reducing the risk of relapse.
12 Step Recovery Model
We at Seaquell House use a 12 Step Recovery Model. We encourage our participants to take part in weekly NA and AA meetings facilitated on property. This combined with cognitive behavioral therapy and our wellness amenities makes Seaquell House the place to recover.
